Tree pruning is an absolutely essential tree service for the health of your trees. Not only does eliminating deadwood and overgrowth promote the well-being of a tree, it also enhances its natural beauty.  We like to think of pruning as “sculpting” your tree. On occasion it may be necessary to remove diseased or damaged limbs that could compromise the integrity of your tree, or to thin out the branches in order to allow more sunlight to filter through to your lawn.  Whatever the case may be, you can rest assured that our tree service crew will prune your trees carefully and judiciously. We will never leave unsightly stumps on the tree or debris in your yard.  As we promise in our slogan, you will have “Beautiful Trees, Superior Service… GUARANTEED!”

TREE REMOVAL

Since your trees are a valuable asset, it is always our goal to preserve and maintain them for as long as possible. In the unfortunate event that a tree must be removed, however, our tree services crew uses great caution and skill to dissect the tree and remove the sections in a safe and efficient manner.

STUMP GRINDING

Once the body of the tree has been removed, we are then able to grind the stump as well as any extended surface roots. Typically we grind the stump 4-6 inches below ground level to enable the hole to be filled and covered with new sod or grass seed. If desired, we can also plant a replacement tree.

BRUSH HAULING

Unless you request otherwise, we will chip and remove any brush from the jobsite. Our goal is to leave the jobsite so clean that you won’t even know we’ve been there – except by noticing the beautiful trees, of course!  The only exception might be in the event of a removal.  Since the City of Dallas will remove logs and brush at no charge on scheduled pick-up days (typically once a month), it is sometimes more cost-effective for the customer to schedule a removal to coincide with the City’s bulk trash pick-up date.  This will reduce the cost of the job by the amount of the dumping fees.

DEEP ROOT FEEDING

If you have a tree that appears unhealthy, the problem may not be disease but rather malnutrition.  Many urban trees are starving because pavement blocks their access to oxygen, water, and nutrients, or because the surrounding soil has been compacted and/or depleted of essential vitamins and minerals.  In these cases we recommend deep root feeding, a process which provides nourishment to your tree by injecting fertilizer below the surface of the soil.  This allows the roots to gradually absorb the nutrients and feed the rest of your hungry tree, resulting in new growth and vitality.

CABLING

Over the course of time a tree may develop cracks in its weakest crotches or suffer storm damage that causes it to split.  Trees with multiple trunks or heavy horizontal branches are especially prone to splitting.  The best remedy may be to install a steel cable in the affected area to reduce stress and prevent excessive swaying.  Cabling can often extend the life of your tree and reduce the safety hazard created by weakened limbs or split trunks.  If you notice any ominous cracks or splits, we would be happy to assess your tree and determine if cabling is a viable option.

DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES

Injury to trees can be caused by numerous culprits – disease, insects, forces of nature, and sometimes even by well-intentioned owners who believe “more is better” when it comes to watering.  Believe it or not, overwatering is a common cause of root rot.  If you notice excessive deadwood, wilting leaves, peeling bark, or colonies of insects in your trees, please call us. We’ll send a certified arborist to inspect your tree, diagnose the problem, and arrange for the appropriate treatment.
